“Follow me …” Through the ages, there has been a proverbial tendency to go where others go and do what others do. We’re constantly being pulled one direction and then another, often conforming to the seemingly infinite ideals vying for our attention—but are we really living or just imitating life? Jesus is the standard. He tells us Himself that He is “the way, the truth, and the life” and that if we are going to be His disciples, we must humble ourselves and give up our own way to follow Him. Will you continue to emulate the world, making your own plans for your journey, or will you choose to stay in step with the very One who formed the earth you’re walking on?
