Pastor Sam Mayo

This last Saturday, September 2, we celebrated the life of Pastor Sam Mayo. Over a 1,000 people gathered in attendance and thousands more online.

The world has lost an amazing man of faith, but Heaven just got a little brighter! Pastor Sam Mayo went to be with Jesus in the early morning on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. His beloved wife, Jeanne, and his sons, Josh and Justin, were by his side. He is also survived by his loving sister, Martha McNeilly, of Duluth, GA, and by earth’s most devoted caregiver, Gladys Lewis.

Sam’s passionate devotion to Jesus was evident throughout his life. As a husband, father, shepherd, pastor, prayer warrior and more, he greatly influenced the lives of many around the world. We are grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing him and having him as a part of the Victory family.

Many have inquired about possible contributions as an expression of love to Sam’s family. In his honor and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sam Mayo Memorial Fund, which will be directed toward the ministry efforts of his sons. Proceeds will be divided evenly among Justin Mayo’s ministry (Red Eye) and the building fund for Cross Church, pastored by Josh Mayo. Through this, Pastor Sam’s legacy lives on.

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” – Jim Elliot
