Of all the names available God chooses Abba, which most closely translates to Daddy. Through Jesus we are offered a new family with a new Father. When He stood on the Cross He took our place and received our punishment so we could receive His privilege. God gave His Son so that He could call us “son” or “daughter” and we could call Him “Father”.
