We’ve reached the final day of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting! We hope you’ve come to know Jesus better throughout this time—that your ability to hear Him and trust in Him have grown more fully.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 20
Another way to grow in your relationship with God is by gathering and doing life with other believers. Through praising, praying, learning from scripture, and being in God’s presence together, we receive many benefits!
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 19
A famous verse in the book of Psalm is a direct quote from God:
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
– Psalm 46:10 NIV
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 18
Today, let’s pause and celebrate Jesus—who He is and what He’s done for us!
Worship along to the song “No Other Name but Jesus” by Victory House Worship, and thank Him for choosing to come to earth and bear the cross for us.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 17
One of the ways we can feel a deeper connection to the Lord is by serving others! You might serve in a ministry at church, mow an elderly neighbor’s grass, or use your gifts and talents to help in some other way.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 16
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
God says this to His people after they receive some severe consequences for their choices and actions.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 15
Welcome to week three of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting! Take a moment to reflect on the past two weeks. What has God done in you? What have you learned about Him or yourself?
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 14
Over these past two weeks, we have reflected on ways that we can come near to God. An additional way is found here in Psalm 34:19-20:
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” NIV
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 13
What’s on your mind today? If anything has been consuming your thoughts, if anything has you worried or anxious, entrust it to God.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 12
You may feel God’s strength supporting you as you fast from certain foods, or you may feel more focused as you’ve resisted connecting to media sources, deleted social media from your phone, or removed anything else that usually takes up your time. How has your fast been going?
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 11
As we turn our attention to God today, let’s pause in praise and worship. Where praise is more about declaring God’s greatness, worship leans more toward bowing in God’s presence and lingering in adoration.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 10
Do you feel near to God? He tells us in scripture that He is everywhere and that He walks with us.
The Bible mentions some ways that we can draw close to Him: trusting in Jesus (first and foremost), reading scripture (which we’re doing today), prayer, repenting of sin, and more.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 9
If you’re able, plan to go outside today. Take a walk in your neighborhood or stop by a park. While there are many health benefits, we encourage it even more so because it’s a great opportunity to spend time in prayer.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 8
Today is day eight of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting!
With two more weeks in front of you, how are you feeling? What has the Lord already done in your life? What has He said to you, or what scriptures have lingered in your thoughts?
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 7
As you reflect throughout day seven of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, ask the Lord to help you both celebrate and persevere to finish this first week.
Ask Him to help you establish or improve your own spiritual rhythms of discipleship (pausing for intentional prayer, reading scripture, etc.), so that you will continue in them long after 21 Days—not for the sake of routine or religiosity but to develop your relationship with God.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 6
For today, we suggest pausing in the way of worship. Music, God-focused lyrics, and singing together are Biblical ways the church has worshiped for centuries!
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 5
Our hope as we journey through these 21 days is that we’d all get to know Jesus better and become more like Him. One way we can be more like Him is in the way we use our words.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 4
What practice makes you feel especially connected to God? Is it journaling your prayers? Singing in worship? Being outdoors? Ministering to a neighbor?
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 3
Here we are on day three of our journey, and it’s very possible you’re feeling the pangs of missing whatever you chose to fast during this season—missing the comfort, familiarity, or sustenance it brought to you.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 2
Before reading Jesus’s words below, pause. Invite God into this moment. Express your gratitude, thanking Him for the good things He has done in your life. Invite Him to speak to you as you read and reflect on the following portion of The Sermon on the Mount.
21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 1
It’s day one of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, where we prioritize God through intentional prayer and put Him first above other desires. Are you feeling hopeful? Nervous? Excited?
