One of the primary keys to an effective prayer life is the “search me” prayer. When we’re struggling with sin or emotional instability, it’s often because we aren’t giving God full access to our hearts. The choices that we make, the words that we speak, the relationships that we have—everything about our lives—are a reflection of the condition of our hearts. What would our lives be like if we were vulnerable, allowing Him to reveal some of those things we’ve tried to hide even from ourselves? God wants us to be healed and whole, so that we continue to grow and walk in real freedom with Him. Let’s shift our prayers from primarily asking Him to do something for us to asking Him to do something in us.
