Throughout His life, Jesus modeled humility — complete dependence on God. He came to earth and humbled Himself on our behalf, taking our sin and shame as His own. Although He was equal with God, He chose obedience to the Father’s purpose for Him. We are called to do the same, following Christ’s example with the knowledge that we are nothing and can do nothing without Him.
